Ft. Worth Fun

Shawn and I took Aiden to Ft. Worth for a mini vacation this weekend. We first went to the zoo where Aiden got to see all the animals up close and personal. His favorite part was anything with water. It didn't matter if there were any animals in the water, he just liked the water. He was also fond of the turtles, but I think that's because he could climb on the fence.

The next day we took Aiden to the Ft. Worth Stockyards. I have to admit I didn't really know what it was. Would we see a bunch of cattle grazing? Would we see a rodeo? What is the stockyards exactly? Well, it turns out that the "stockyards" is just an old area of town with western shops and restaurants. As it turns out, the annual war reenactment "thing" was going on that day so we saw lots of people dressed up for war. Not my cut of tea, but we still enjoyed ourselves. Aiden's favorite part was the hose he found on the ground.
