Aiden's 18 Month Stats

Shawn took Aiden for his 18 month appointment last week. This was following a week of painful antibiotic shots three days in a row to try to get his ear infections under control. He had to get a vaccine, so I felt so bad that he had to go back to the doctor less than a week after the painful shots to get yet more shots. He is such a good boy though and while he was a little scared, he took it very well. He weighed 23 pounds and is 32 1/2 inches long. Although he is still a skinny little boy, his weight percentage actually went up...barely, but it did go up. He is still 50% in height.

Our little boy is getting so big. We discover new things he can reach almost daily. Tonight he pulled a large knife out of the top kitchen drawer. Thankfully we were right there to take it away. It seems like he wasn't even close to reaching that drawer just last week. It makes me a little sad to think that he's growing so fast, but at the same time he just gets more fun. He is obsessed with playing with the broom and dust pan right now. Too bad he really can't use them very well or my floors would be spotless. He also likes to say the word "vacuum" a million times a day. He doesn't really like to touch it, but he loves to talk about it. He's also really in to playing in the car. I dread the Texas heat and that car come June.

Aiden loves his mommy and daddy very much and is the most affectionate little boy. He loves to give hugs (I do beg for kisses a lot) and loves for us to hold him. I must say, Shawn and I do love that feeling. The last 18 months have been amazing, overwhelming, loving, trying, and most of all the best 18 months of my life. I love being a wife and a mother.
