Bye Bye Binkie!

Shawn and I decided that we should try to wean Aiden off the binkie (aka pacifier) over the long weekend. He had already gotten used to not having it at daycare for naps, but Mommy (yes, me) would always give it to him for naps over the weekend or whenever he was home. I was bracing myself for the worst. While Aiden didn't seem to be obsessed with his binkie, he did really like to have it while sleeping. However, I must have forgotten how incredibly awesome my son is and how quickly he adapts to change. After all, switching him from his pack and play to his bed was a breeze and he adjusted very quickly from rocking to sleep to just laying him in bed. And just like before taking the binkie away went very well. He didn't seem to miss it at all. He must have been ready to get rid of it and so were we. So far he's even started sleeping longer at night, which makes for a happier Mommy and Daddy as well.
