This Week's Doctor Appointment

I just got back from seeing the doctor. She wanted to do another sonogram to see if the baby was still measuring big. According to their measurements, he is anywhere from 7 to 8 pounds right now, which means he will likely be 8 to 9 pounds if I go to my due date. I told her that I was getting anxious to have the baby, so she suggested stripping my membranes. She said this would likely prevent me from going past my due date. I reluctantly agreed to let her do that. I'm just so desperate at this point. As she was stripping my membranes, she mentioned that I was three centimeters dilated and about 70-75% effaced. Not that it means anything, but I was really happy to know that I'm progressing.
