Telling Shawn

Since Shawn had been out of town when I found out I was pregnant, I had wracked my brain to come up with a great idea of how to tell him the good news. There were all kinds of cheesy ideas on the internet, but I didn't really like any of them. So I just decided to do it. I was nervous all day yesterday waiting and waiting for him to come home. He and Melissa didn't leave Austin until after 11 a.m., so he didn't get in until around 3:00 p.m. As soon as he came in the door I showed him the pregnancy tests and said "Welcome home Daddy!" He gave me a HUGE smile and grabbed me for a hug. He was sooo happy. We spent the rest of the day just looking at each other and thinking "we can't believe that we're going to be parents soon!!!" Our journey has only just begun, but we're enjoying the ride so far.
