Big Update

I realize that I haven't blogged in quite a long time and I really haven't kept up with much of anything. I vowed to myself that I would keep up this blog as often as I did with Aiden. I guess I wasn't prepared for how little time I would have with two kids. So far this has been the year of the sick baby girl. We have barely made it a week without Lilah being sick or on some sort of medication since December.

Here is the breakdown of what she's had:
December 15, 2011: UTI
January 1, 2012: double ear infections
January 20, 2012: viral syndrome
January 31, 2012: RSV
February 2, 2012: double ear infections
February 14, 2012: double ear infections
February 15, 2012: said first word "ball"
March 10, 2012: hand, foot, and mouth disease
March 18, 2012: UTI
April 3, 2012: Croup

I feel really bad for her. She almost doesn't know what it is like not to feel bad. To this day she still has a stuffy nose and horrible cough from the croup. It also doesn't help that allergies are really bad right now. And to top it off, she is going to a new daycare now. She's having a hard time getting into the new swing of things.

On a brighter note, a lot of exciting first have occurred since my last post.
February 6, 2012: crawling for the first time.
February 21, 2012: fist steps
March 15, 2012: full on walking!

She is also saying a few words. Now let me preface this by saying she isn't speaking clearly or anything but as her mom, I can tell what she is saying. She says: ball (her first word), plates, and peas (her favorite food at the moment). I'm thinking there are more, but I can't think of them right now.

Saturday is Lilah's first birthday and I can hardly believe it's already been a year. It has been a tough year, but it still doesn't seem possible that my little baby girl is now getting so big. She's walking all over the place and keeping up with her brother. She's definitely going to be my dare devil child.
