Best Sick Boy in the World!

I seriously have been blessed with the best child in the world. How? I have no idea. Aiden got his tubes in today. We had to get him up at 5:30 AM and he was wide awake after that. The waiting room at the surgery center was really neat with lots of toys, so he had plenty to occupy his mind. Not so much for Mommy. I was super nervous. We were pretty much the only people there, so we got in really quick. They gave Aiden some "happy juice" through his nose to relax him and help him separate from us. It worked because he was absolutely drunk by the time they took him. It was kinda sad and funny at the same time. Then the wait began. Shawn and I had our own little room to wait in and it wasn't long before the doctor was coming in to say everything was finished. He said Aiden's ears were pretty "gunky" so I'm sure now that I did the right thing. Aiden had been on antibiotics for 7 days by the time his surgery came, so if his ears were still bad, I know they wouldn't have gotten much better. When they brought him out of the surgery room, he was flailing and crying :( So hard for a Mommy to hear. Pretty soon after I got him, he calmed down. He was still very disoriented, but by the time we got home he was back to his normal self. Running around and laughing. I really do have the best child.
