This weekend was probably the worst weekend since Aiden was sick. As my Friday post stated, I tried putting rice cereal in his bottle to see if it would fill his little belly more and allow him to finally sleep all night. Well, that only led to an all out scream at about midnight. My guess is the cereal made him gassy. We gave him some Mylecon and that seemed to help. However, he was up two or three more times. Shawn took the final shift at 4:00 am and just stayed up with him and let me sleep until 8:00 am. It was the best sleep EVER! Thanks Shawn ;)
Saturday night and Sunday night was more of the same; waking three or four times. We realized pretty early on that it was his clogged nose that was making him wake up so often, so last night we sucked his nose twice before bed, again at 10:30 pm, and again at 2:30 am. We got a lot out, but more came back soon after. It was a never ending battle. And then he wakes up in the morning all smiles and giggles, so it's hard to stay upset about the whole thing. At this point, though, we've tried EVERYTHING to get his nose cleared up, so I guess it's just gonna have to work itself out. Until then...I'll be the one with the droopy eyes and the three cups of coffee in my hand.
