Shawn and I went to the doctor today for our bi-weekly visit. The doctor wanted to do another sonogram just to see where the fibroid was in relation to the baby. She wanted to make sure it wasn't going to affect my ability to give birth vaginally. We were very excited to get to see our little boy again. The sonographer showed us all his growing parts, which were much harder to see now that he's so big. She then tells us that she's gonna see how much he weighs....SIX POUNDS!! I'm not sure what it is about me and six pounds, but those words keep haunting me. I have six more weeks to go and our little chunk is already six pounds!! That means, on average, he's likely to weigh eight to nine pounds at birth. Yikes!! The doctor reminded me that it's only a guess and they are off sometimes, and let's hope they are off by like two or three pounds. He's also measuring a week ahead in all of his body measurements. We're gonna have one big boy on our hands come November.
She also told me that my amniotic fluid was lower than they'd like it to be so she ordered me to be "less active" (ha ha...how can I possibly be less active?) and drink tons of water. She'll do another sonogram next week to see if the fluid levels are where they should be. Man, drinking all this water is harder than one might think. I've never been much of a water drinker, so I literally have to remind myself to drink even when I'm not thirsty. So much for the one bathroom trip in the middle of the night I've been used to. I'll probably get up at least twice tonight. Oh well, I don't sleep much anyway. Enjoy the latest pics of Aiden!!
