Ike Can't Bring Me Down!!

Hurricane Ike hit the Texas coast Friday night and into Saturday. The weather channels were of course freaking us out saying that Ike would hit Dallas Saturday morning and continue its wrath until Saturday night. High winds. Tornadoes.

So for days I worried that my shower would have to be rescheduled, but on Saturday morning, there was nothing but a steady rain. We decided to keep the shower as scheduled. Some of the guests still didn't feel right about getting out in the storm, so we had a small intimate gathering (i.e. hardly anyone showed up). I still had a good time though and got to eat lots of cupcakes so that made up for it :) Aiden got some awesome stuff. Shawn and I greatly appreciate our friends!!
